ACMV Challenges in Asia

Many ACMV (Air-conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) works in ASIA are depending on contractors. Most of this contractors work based on experiences learning from one another without proper knowledge in design and requirements.
Most of the time focusing on AC system only and neglecting the need of mechanical ventilation (supply of fresh air and general exhaust system)
Most AC/FCU system is only running on self-circulation mode. Contaminants are remains in the building and not removed.
Min Outdoor Air requirement is not part of consideration, AC are sized based on certain rules of thumb without proper heat load calculation
Using same method without considering the effectiveness and energy efficiency. Focusing on supplying more equipments, increasing airflow (more equipments and bigger duct = PROFIT) instead of introducing proper air distribution strategy.
